Basic level

The majority of of the courses in anthropology at the basic level or BA/BSc-level (grundnivå) require a knowledge of Swedish. Yet we do have some courses offered in English at this level. Currently the following courses are taught in English at basic level:

Anthropology

• Culture in armed conflicts
• People, power and food
• African studies

Ethnology

• Swedish Society and Everyday Life

At the advanced level (master) all courses in cultural anthropology are on the contrary in English.
