Research groups

Scholars of Cultural Anthropology are contributing to networks and joint efforts among universities and departments in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. To make university studies possible for students in so-called development countries, anthropologists have developed international courses, partnerships and doctoral schools at home and abroad.

In addition to our Research Seminar in Cultural Anthropology where researchers, teachers and PhD-candiates actively engage, Uppsala-anthropologists develop themes and interests in different, often overlapping research groups. Here we present the currently most important research groups.
